Arduino 'garbage'

#1

HI All,
All of a sudden (after running smoothly for months) I notice that the Arduino boards starts sending some ‘garbage’:

{“GTYP”:,“SACO 1”:700R 1":0,“ALPN 1”:0,“ALPN 2”:0,“ALMI 1”:0,“GEND”:0},

As you can see, the stream is not consistend any more. Does any one have a clue where to look for explanations ?
Thanks !

Hey Peperoni
Its been a while! I’m experiencing the same issue, Although I can’t say I’ve been running similarly smoothly. I noticed on restarting the Mega that I recieved the ‘did not establish connection with rpi’ message when I checked the serial in the arduino IDE- but only fragments of the text before the strange output you describe. Either the arduino isn’t sending all of the data or the raspberry pi is failing to retrieve it all, so I’'m as confused as you are at this point.

Hi James, thank you for sharing this. I started to wonder if I was the only one
On the topic: I have my arduino directly connected to my Mac. I have not yet been able to get my RPI running at all. So ‘my garbage’ has nothing to do with RPI…

Interesting, I found that after a couple of restarts and securing the physical plug (mine has a tendency to get pulled out by my cable manager) the stream seemed to work again. Maybe re-flashing the ROM can help?
