BME680 Sensor alternate for the sensors?

#1

I got to know about this BME680 sensor today. The specifications say that it senses gas, pressure, humidity and temperature. Will this be a better alternative for the sensors currently being used in the FC?
check the link BME680

Hi @AbhishekJadimath

That is a cool sensor. Bosch makes all sorts of cool sensors
I tested a BME280 a little and it measures Air presure, humidity and temp.
On top of these the BME680 measures “Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)” so paint and glue fumes.

Personal Food Computer has Humidity, Temperature and light. I don’t know about the VOC measure. Can it be used as such for something plant related? Or does it also detect smoke?

On the other hand… BME680 seems to be a great thing in the builders toolbox  Nice find @AbhishekJadimath and thanks for sharing.

BME280 Does not sense CO2 or any gas. But, the BME680 has that advantage.

As far as I understood, the BME680 does not detect CO2.
This is out of Bosch website
"Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) from paints (such as formaldehyde), lacquers, paint strippers, cleaning supplies, furnishings, office equipment, glues, adhesives and alcohol."
