Part number system description?

#1

Anybody know if something that describes what the abbreviations in the v2.0 BOM, similar to the image below, exists?

#2

I know some of the screws are meaningful:

S-SIZ-EOF-LEN-TYP-?-MT
S means screw? I’m not sure.
The first 2 numbers usually denote the size.
The last number usually denotes the length.
The next 3 letters denotes the type(buttonhead, hex, nut, standoff, etc.)
I’m not sure about the 1 letter, it is usually S, O, or H.
The last letters indicate the material(SS=Stainless Steel, AL=Aluminium)

S-025-20-438-BTN-S-SS
S: Screw
025-20: Size (This one is metric, I think)
438: Screw Length
BTN: Head type(Buttonhead)
S: Screw(Instead of Nut)
SS: Material(Stainless Steel)

S-#08-32-250-STD-H-AL-FF
S: Screw
#08-32: Size
250: Length
STD: Standoff

Some of the other ones are basically just “BAR-1” in essence.

Might be useful to add a “Glossary” page in the Wiki. I was about to do so but can’t login at the moment.
