Script openag_brain_install_rpi failed with error: package directory 'src/openag_brain/commands' does not exist

#1

Hello,

I’m trying to set up the software using “openag_brain_install_rpi.git” (https://github.com/OpenAgInitiative/openag_brain_install_rpi)

To set up the project, simply clone the repository and run the install.sh file.
git clone https://github.com/OpenAgInitiative/openag_brain_install_rpi.git
cd openag_brain_install_rpi
./install.sh

At first, everything went well (about 30 min)
but then installation failed with error: package directory ‘src/openag_brain/commands’ does not exist.

Has anyone seen this error?

Hi @AndrewB,
These are the steps I use to install all the software for a development PFC:

Hello, Rob

I’ll try to follow your trail

Thanks

It goes worser

Hello, Rob

After vacation I was able to return to the project and tried to install the software according mentioned link
(https://wiki.openag.media.mit.edu/contributors/rob.baynes/rpisetup)

Everything went smoothly.

However, after the installation was completed, I noticed that “firmware_module_type” and “firmware_module” databases are missing.
(it seems I saw them after some previous attempts)

Current database list:
curl -X GET http://192.168.50.99:5984/_all_dbs
["_replicator","_users",“app”,“environment”,“environmental_data_point”,“recipes”,“test_suite_db”,“test_suite_db2”]

Is it Ok?

Andrew

Yes, what you see is correct. We no longer use those two firmware_
databases in the latest release of openag_brain v1.0.0

Thanks,

Hello AndrewB,
I want to ask if you can see image/picture from the WebUI.
I have newly install the OPENAG 2.1 a week ago everything goes well with the new installation .
I fail with openag_brain.service need start it from terminal. I do follow changes “usb_cam.yaml” and "~/.ros/camera_info/head_camera.yaml"
I start

rosrun openag_brain main --screen personal_food_computer.launch

no error come out from usbcam. Just can not see picture from webUI

Thanks.

Hello sllo,

I can not see image/picture from the WebUI.
Meanwhile the camera as the device is working fine.
Images are stored in the database (“environmental_data_point”) successfully.
I can see them using CouchDB’s Futon interface.
But the WebUI shows black rectangle only
(other WebUI’s features are working: I can upload the recipe, can see graphs of data from sensors, etc.)

Can anyone tell where to dig to find the cause of the failure?

Thanks

#9

That’s all I know, hope it helps. Please let me know if you make any progress.

Also, are you seeing images from both cameras? Or just aerial?

I am all most a complete newbie when it comes to code. Have played around with an arduino a little with motors and lights that’s about it. I notice that the instructions that rbaynes provides is for a PFC 2.0 https://wiki.openag.media.mit.edu/contributors/rob.baynes/rpisetup27

I am building mine with a Rasberry Pi Model B and the Mega 2560. Is this the Ver. 1.0 or 2.0 ??
